Rocky River - Vermilion Voyage

This ride takes you from our store in Rocky River to the historic and picturesque lakefront town of Vermilion. After following some side streets on your bicycle to bypass the more congested areas of Cleveland's western suburbs, the route follows the scenic State Route 6, also known as Lake Road, where there is a dedicated bike lane for much of the way. However, you should be prepared to share the road with urban, suburban, and rural traffic. The views of Lake Erie directly to your side are worth the trip alone, with many community parks along the way where you can stop to catch your breath and take in the view at your own pace.

There are many options for refreshments along the way, with many local restaurants as well as national chains to be found in the communities of Rocky River, Bay Village, Avon Lake, Sheffield Lake, Lorain, and Vermilion.

Once in Vermilion, the route back to Rocky River is just a reverse of your route out.

If you'd like to make a multi-day tour of it, instead of turning around to head home in Vermilion, continue along Rt 6 to Sandusky. There, you can visit the famous Cedar Point amusement park, or take a ferry over to Kelleys Island or Put-in-Bay.
