Plain Dealer: Summit parks' Biking Spree begins July 1

The Summit County Metro Parks will roll out its inaugura two-month Summer Biking Spree on July 1 and will offer rewards for those who ride sections of its multipurpose trails. To participate, bikers must complete at least five trail sections from July 1 through Aug. 31. Spree forms with a list of trail sections at www.summitmetroparks.org or at the parks' administrative office, 975 Treaty Line Road, Akron; Century Cycles, 1621 Main St., Peninsula; the F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm, 1828 Smith Road, Akron; and at all Acme Fresh Market stores in Summit County. For more information, call 330-865-8065. The event replaces the STOMP Bicycle Adventure, an annual one-day fundraiser that enjoyed a 20-year run.
