Free bike maintenance clinic on March 15 at Century Cycles

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (February 23, 2011) – Winter may not offer the best bicycling weather in Northeast Ohio, but it’s a good time to take a bike clinic or class in preparation for warm days to come.

Century Cycles bicycle stores in Rocky River (19955 Detroit Road), Medina (1079 North Court Street) and Peninsula (1621 Main Street/Route 303 are simultaneously hosting free Basic Bike Maintenance Clinics on Tuesday, March 15, at 6:30 p.m. to help people learn how to take care of their bicycles.

During the free one-hour clinic, a professional bicycle mechanic will teach attendees essential bike maintenance skills, including:

• How to change a flat tire;
• How to clean and lubricate a bicycle chain;
• And how to do a five-minute pre-ride safety check.

Light refreshments will be provided. Each attendee will also receive a 20% discount on all regularly-priced bicycle parts, tools and accessories purchased that evening.

The clinic is free and students don’t need to bring their own bikes to it. However, registration is required.
