Century Cycles and Giant Bicycle announce Giant Mountain Bike Demo Day on June 2

Rocky River, OH - If you've been looking for an excuse to ride through dirt on someone else's $2000 mountain bike, here's your chance.

Century Cycles and Giant Bicycle are co-hosting a Giant Mountain Bike Demo Day on Saturday, June 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Reagan Park in Medina, Ohio. Bicycle manufacturer Giant is providing the high-end mountain bikes to ride, Reagan Park has the mountain bike trails to try, and Century Cycles will be there with expert staff and product giveaways. It's a free event, open to the public and all skill levels. All demo riders are required to wear bicycle helmets. For more information, call Century Cycles in Medina at 330-722-7119 or visit www.centurycycles.com.

"Giant Mountain Bike Demo Day is a lot of fun for both experts and novices," said Scott Cowan, owner of Century Cycles, an authorized Giant dealer with stores in Medina, Peninsula, and Rocky River. "Whether you are an experienced mountain biker looking to try out the latest technology or a beginner who wants to learn what it's all about, this demo will have something for everyone who is interested in mountain biking."

Giant Bicycle will have five bikes on hand to ride: Three Anthem mountain bikes in three different sizes and two Trance mountain bikes in two different sizes. Both models boast the latest high-performance, full-suspenstion technology from Giant. The Anthem (which ranges in price from $1,650 to $4,000, depending on its features and upgrades) was recently named a finalist in Bicycling magazine's 2007 Editor's Choice Awards for Best XC Performance Mountain Bike. The editors of Mountain Bike Action magazine said of the Trance in their June 2007 issue: "The Trance will amaze the rider who has the nerve to push through ruts, rocks, roots and any other nasty trail obstacle. This bike hooks up, stays online, and gets it done." The Trance models range in price from $1,200 to $3,500, depending on features and upgrades.

The Giant mountain bikes will be equipped with standard platform pedals. Mountain bikers who have their own pedals are welcome to bring them and they will be swapped onto the demo bikes.

Reagan Park is located on Weymouth Road (State Route 3) in Medina. Go to www.centurycycles.com for directions to Reagan Park.
